I used this tool to cut both wood and drywall and it excelled at both. Like others have said, let the tool do the work for you. I was debating between this and the Fein, but decided to go with the sonicrafter based on reviews and price. I did not experience the screw loosening problems as others have found. It seems that if you make sure the blade is mounted properly before tightening, then you(at least I did not) will not have a problem. I did not cut any nails or sheet metal with it yet. I will say that this saw has no kickback or recoil and is a super safe and comfortable power tool to work with. The head does build up a lot of heat under continuous usage.
